1. They're trying to create a wedge issue out of something that never happens.

And it seems to be backfiring on them big time. They're trying to get away with what got George Bush elected. Bush got away with smearing and fearmongering against LGBT Americans in 2000, but this ain't 2000 anymore. I have a feeling that the more they try to bring this "issue" into the spotlight the more it will backfire on them. It's already happening to North Carolina.
