I'm 45 years old. I've voted for Democrats exclusively all my adult life. I don't 'hate' Hillary Clinton - I've never met her or any member of her family, and actual hate is pretty hard to bear against someone you've never met who hasn't directly, personally harmed someone you care about.
I'm also not 'blinded,' although I had to finally go with bifocals (part time only) this year, after accidentally crunching my prior pair of eyeglasses.
I don't think I'm 'indignant' about anything at the present time. I'm pretty sure I was last night when the Ethiopians built a mind-blowing 4 world wonders exactly one turn before my Shoshone people were to finish theirs. 4 times! It's happened twice in one game before, but never even 3 times during a game that I can recall. I was pretty indignant at Civilization V, swore a bit, and shut down the game and my computer.
But I decided long before Bernie Sanders declared his candidacy that I would not require myself to vote for Hillary Clinton if she became the Democratic nominee for the presidency. Before Sanders declared his candidacy, it was looking like it was already a done deal.
My reasons, well if you've actually listened to others with similar positions, you've probably heard them all at one time or another. But they don't have anything to do with hatred. It really just boils down this - I believe that the Democratic party, my party, is becoming extremely corrupt, and I also believe that the candidacy of Hillary Clinton is a symptom of that corruption. I've decided that it's OK for me to choose not to provide tacit support for that process of corruption by voting for her to become the President of the United States. As a citizen of the United States of America, I do not believe that I am under any obligation to vote for candidates for office who I believe will further contribute to government corruption. It really should be the other way around.
You think I'm wrong. Or delusional. Or, maybe, so blinded by hate and indignancy that I can't even perceive for myself whether I'm hateful or indignant. But, please, at least think that last sentence over a bit. I'm OK with people believing I'm wrong about something like this. Maybe I am. I don't think so, but it's certainly possible. But, by stating that I will not vote for Hillary Clinton to become the next President of the United States, I appear to be grouped into your 'blinded by their hate' group. And, really, that's kind of offensive.
