(7,963 posts)Of that corruption. But who is the most progressive candidate come November for the presidency? If you think it is Trump, we are done talking. If you think it is Cruz....I don't know. I have no words for that. I will just let you get back to your gripping ethiopian/shishone adventure.
Like it or not, the choice is going to be either Hillary OR Trump. That is the reality. Not Bernie or Jill Stein or anyone else. So vote or don't vote. That is certainly your prerogative. I guess I was raised that it is my civic responsibility to partake in this process. Just as it is my responsibility to serve jury duty. Even when it is a grave inconvenience or even if I truly don't believe in the integrity of that voting process, I always show up and do my part. Even if I can't control all of the process, I can certainly control what I do. If we want change, we need to be a part of it. You want to see the government move left? Organize and be a part of the grassroots movement to gain more voice in the government. That movement to the left will not come from a singular vote for potus. It will come from bottom up politics. Look at booger eater Ted. I know it is hard to look at that face, but try for me. PRIME example of bottom up politics. We need to do THAT.
And while you clearly may not exercise hatred for Hillary, I see it all the time on DU. Just go to GD
. It is on magnificent display just about every night. If I have a glass of wine first, it's not so bad. Even the double standard gets less noticeable.
Here's what I propose: for the sake of everyone's sanity, Bernie supporters stop posting "Hillary is evil" and "I will never vote for Hillary" posts and Hillary supporters will stop posting that "Bernie is FOS" and "The primaries ate over" threads.
