why get so "hot and bothered"? well, let's see. Creationist clucktards fucking up OUR kids' science education. Jesus-drunk pharmacists holding womens' birth control prescriptions hostage. The neverending crusade to make it impossible for women to control their own bodies or decide themselves whether or not to stay pregnant. The apparent NEED to have "displays of faith" all over courthouse and city hall lawns, because, you know, there's that giant fucking church shortage in this country, nevermind the tax exempt status. The fact that "god" and "Jesus" have become cultural dog whistle clubs with which to endlessly bludgeon the rest of us, sort of like how some people LITERALLY have giant fucking temper tantrums if you say "Happy Holidays" to them.

There wouldn't be a problem if we didn't have a SERIOUS fucking problem in this country whereby right-wing fundamentalists almost exclusively of the Jesus Tim Tebow variety have been SERIOUSLY screwing up our collective civic and political life. Apparently, "live and let live" isn't an option for the folks threatened by the existence of gay people, folks fucking for non-procreative purposes or science teachers teaching proven facts about reality in public schools.
