5. Okay... but the news article at the ABC's website says otherwise

I've no idea what it is, in actuality, but the news story says 7mm mean rise per year as quoted above. ABC news is usually reliable. I'm not a scientist it's an interesting article, I thought and the photo is apparently of the area in question, which was vegetated for at least 300 years.
