"Politics in the US has become the turf of a small group of elite players..."

It certainly seems as such if we choose such a small sample of evidence. It allows us to constructs the following fallacy and pretend it's valid.

Premise A is a B
Premise A is also a C
Conclusion Therefore, all Bs are Cs

Associative fallacies are common errors though, often brought on by shrill hysterics, bias and irrational thought.
