That's what this is about. They want to become lobbyists for this or that industry, so they have to get in good with them before hand. It's all about the horse-trading and influence peddling. Few elected Democrats give a shit about anything other than getting ahead. It's all about getting rich later on. Inside they are Frank Underwood: venal, ambitions, amoral.

Look at Barney Frank. He used his elected position to lobby for banks, now he works for one.

I hate them all, with a few exceptions. Worthless, conniving, soulless.

No wonder so many people refuse to be members of either party.
