What's the opposite of a bucket list moment, because I just had one [View all]

Stopped at McDonald's to get a bite to eat for breakfast. I was walking toward the restroom when I saw a man, dressed in a motorcycle vest. Nothing out of the ordinary until I happened to glance at one of his patches right on front of his vest.

It read "Knights of the Ku Klux Klan"

It's 2016, and I'm seeing people openly bragging about their KKK affiliation. It's the sobering reality that we still have a long ways to go.

And it's not like we're in the heart of what one would consider Klan territory, either. The restaurant had a good cross section of black, white and Hispanic both in terms of workers and customers.

As I was going to order the man walked by. I looked over at the cashier and my eyes just made a WTF look, and she responded by giving me a "I know, crazy huh?" look back. It was a moment of pure telepathy.
