When I was first in my car accident I took a full Vicodin. It felt like I had downed a fifth of tequila in five minutes. I was crawling on the floor. I was so dizzy I was leaning over the toilet sure I was going to get sick and then I was hot so I crawled to the front door and struggled to reach up to open it. I lay in the doorway getting cold air. That was the only time I ever took a full Vicodin. I took half from there on out but it dealt with the pain but did not completely clear it. I finally ended up drinking and you are right, it helps. But I took alcohol with the Vicodin. I was not supposed to but at that point the pain was so great that I did not care if I overdosed or it had bad side effects. It was so nice to be out of pain even for a few hours.

I understand you turning to alcohol. I do not drink much, like you, but it was all I could do to find some modicum of relief.

I hate feeling out of control and that is what drugs do to me, and alcohol. These days it takes a lot for me to really do a good dose of either. I do not like feeling out of control, I just want to feel better. I want them to give me an injection with a pain blocker until they can decide what is going on. Is that really so wrong of me? Pain blockers, to my knowledge are not addictive. I want a good night's sleep. I want to drive the car without turning on the seat warmer. I want to enjoy life.
