My politics and values are no different now than they were the day before Sanders announced his run.
a more serious problem is that our track record for "getting Democrats elected" is horrible.
In the last two mid-term elections we conceded hundreds of seats to teapublicans nationwide. Most importantly, we have lost governorships and control of dozens of state legislatures. If we don't correct that issue before the next census than we are likely out in the cold for a long time.
To pretend that we don't have serious issues and need a new direction is foolish. Cheerleading the status quo will get us the status quo. That is not directed at any specific politician but at our process and mindset.
Talk of compromise is easy as you long as you are not the one being compromised.
