HIs long history in the media means gives his opponent so much material to attack him that he will be constantly on the defensive.

His failure to use the long campaign season to build a real organization will make it hard to take advantage of any weakness in his opponent.

He also appears to be loath to delegate to experts.

He won't keep his mouth shut.

It is possible that Democrats could not have asked for a better opponent if they had conspired to get him nominated themselves.
