recognize him when he spoke at his graduation. They weren't close. Jane Wyman adopted him when she was still with Ronald, and Nancy didn't care for that other family.

Michael wrote a sullen "They Were Mean to Me" book back in the eighties. Read all about it: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1988-04-17/features/8803090826_1_michael-reagan-four-reagan-children-maureen

Now that Saint Ronnie of Raygun has become a conservative icon, he's getting over all that Poor Pitiful Me stuff and completely re-vamping the relationship.

I think he was telling the truth the first time around. I don't agree with his politics at all, but he did have a shitty childhood:

His life, as the child of one of Hollywood`s golden couples, should have been one long Technicolor adventure, filled with ponies and parties, but it wasn`t. Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman divorced when he was 3 and there was no room for children in either the Wyman household or the Reagan family. Michael Reagan was shipped off to boarding school when he was 6. He spent two days a month with each parent. He remembers having to fight for their attention, and losing.
