As I keep saying and you keep missing:
The GOP wants to run against Hillary. She has negatives off the chart and if she will guarantee a large segment of the electorate will stay home.
That is true no matter who the GOP nominee is.
That means that the down ticket races will most definitely be affected. When turnout is low, who wins?
The GOP controls a very large part of the country, in the state and local. They like it that way.
They also control the legislative branch at the federal level and if Hillary is on the ticket it's unlikely they will lose that. What makes you think that even if she's elected she'll be able to implement anything?
Try looking outside your bubble.
