4. you missed the point

...the words of the republican nominee for president are extremely important. These statements and ignorant and bigoted responses from elected officials, political figures, and other prominent individuals should be aggressively countered.

ANY suggestion that this wasn't a direct attack on the LGBT community shouldn't be taken seriously. This was a U.S. born citizen committing these acts, almost exclusively against members of the gay community, no matter what trumped-up cause he used to justify it.

Those are facts which transcend all of the attempts to deflect this to something happening overseas.
