13. My cat too was a stray and stayed in the bathroom for awhile.

I then got a large wire dog cage, so it was open on all sides. Not a plastic one that is closed. (they make them for cats too). I put in a shelf and other comforts. Put the cage in front of a window so she could see out. She could heal up from her ear mitts and eye infection, all the while being a part of the household life. Worked great!
