2. Maher is way too much of a downer these days

Every episode seems to come down to "Trump could win and here are a bunch of reasons why". And some of his arguments come really out of left field. I think 2 months ago him and Van Jones stated that Trump had something like 40% of African Americans supporting him, which has never been seen in any poll in history. He also talked a lot about how large numbers of dems were supporting trump in the primaries, which it turns out wasn't true, and last week he spent quite a bit of time talking about how Trump and the republicans have more votes in any primary race in history. Again, not true. The dems this year have quite a bit more and even if GOP primary turned out more voters, the number of votes in a primary have no relationship with the number of votes in the general election.

It seems like he is either trying to prevent dems from being complacent or he is just a massive pessimist this year. Either way, its getting really hard to watch Real Time lately.
