3. If McCain loses, will he fade away or keep spewing bitterness, ala Palin

I never really go the impression that McCain had anything else going for himself, other than being a Senator. I don't believe you can get too old to 'reinvent' yourself, but losing the 2008 election did seem to set his wounded pride and psyche into cement. I could see this spelling the end for John McCain.

My hope would be he would FINALLY apologize for loosing Palin onto the country, but that is likely way too much to hope for.
