I was just being my usual pedant self in pointing out that all Christians sects do have the same core belief and that thing is what makes them Christian. Each sect has its own interpretation of scripture, along with rules peculiar to their sect (the Methodist Church, which was founded as a Temperance sect, does not use wine in its sacrament but unfermented grape juice instead, although temperance is no longer part of the doctrine*). Some are conservative as fuck; some are super liberal and many are somewhere in between. I imagine Islam is much the same.

*at one point I was a paid soloist in a Methodist choir; Methodists are highly competitive singers. The rival church was referred to as Gin and Holy Tonic after their famous parties.
