I got canned last Wednesday. As of next Friday I will be uninsured. So I try to sign up for Medi-Cal (our Medicaid) -- only to learn that I cannot do so until next month, because I have income for this month. And when I do this, the coverage will not start until August. So if anything happens to me before then...
