The little-known news site you dug up chose an inaccurate headline as click bait. As the body of the article admits, the platform committee did not endorse TPP, it simply chose not to issue a statement opposing it. As the article states, the committee merely stated there was a diversity of opinion in the party, which is a statement of fact:
It backed a measure that said "there are a diversity of views in the party" on the TPP.
It also reaffirmed that Democrats want any trade deal "to protect workers and the environment."
