Years ago I heard this BBC broadcast about the overthrow...and who was behind it..

It seems all this info is in the Library of Congress.. So who was behind it?

"The coup was aimed at toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, (owners of Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell Hse & Prescott Bush ) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression. "

Apparently FDR got wind of it and pressured these guys to go along with his new deal or face trial for treason..

So THAT'S how we got Social Security passed... A little arm twisting of ol' pappy Bush!!
