That being said, while I share their goal and motivation, I disagree with their political tactics. Nothing makes me smile more than a Nazi being punched in the face, but at the same time this is a political war. It is bad politics to attack them, because it makes BAM the center of the story, and everyone is going to debate whether or not they were in the right. Instead, they could have used nonviolent means of shutting them down--loud music, megaphones to make it impossible for them to be heard, human rings around their demonstration with things that make it impossible for the Nazi's to be seen, etc. These tactics would have also had the desired effect which would be to make their recruitment rally a bust, and would have kept the story focused on how disgusting Nazi's are and how they are not welcome. It would have made BAM and their tactics seem heroic, and no one would question them.

So, politically speaking, they were stupid. Even if they had the right motivation.
