The update pop-up will harass you to death until you agree to it. In fact, if you
don't take action to prevent it, it will automatically install itself...

I avoided it at first because I am due to upgrade to a new laptop -- no need to
mess with the damn thing cuz it is 9 years old. I couldn't take it anymore!
When I finally succumbed to the bully, I got the BSOD (blue screen of death) --
my hard drive was gone, costing me $200 to repair and 2 weeks without a laptop.

I had the new hard drive installed without the update. A few weeks ago, the update
started on my laptop without my consent and you can't abort once it commences.
Internet is now slower than ever, set-up of screens is too "busy" and counter-intuitive
(designed for engineers and geeks), and some of my files were a mess. What will
happen when I download my iTunes library back onto my laptop ??

FUCK MICROSOFT !!!!!!!!!
