(60,165 posts)I read a very lengthy article about how Apple keeps your music in a cloud and how tunes can be disappeared or changed...
the article was written by a someone who composes music as well as had his collection partially disappeared. So he called Apple and wrote about the conversation.
so what happened was Apple ( he said it was Apple) reserves the right to put a different version of a tune in your collection.
I do know, for a fact, a now infamous case where Amazon customer had an argument with Amazon, and all of her Kindle books were disappeard from her device, and her account.
I don't cloud. My e-reader is just that...a reader, that I can sideload, but I rarely keep more than 20 books on it, which are copies of books I have on an external drive, with my music and movies. And I don't go online with it, I download and save the music/book, to my puter, to sideload.
I have this thing about wanting control over my stuff.
