(10,201 posts)The TSA, police, and others involved will have an internal investigation into the event, where they will find that they did nothing wrong. There will be no comment due to the ongoing investigation, and when this event has faded from memory, there will be little to no follow up story.
Folks jump up and down, and say that the government's #1 job and priority is to keep us safe. Folks need to feel safe and they demand that the state protect them from all of their boogie men, real or perceived. This is the result. I sure feel safer.
There is a reason that the state should not be policed by the military. The military's #1 job is to defend the nation from its enemies, both foreign and domestic. The police's #1 job, should be as guardians of the people. When you militarize the police, then the people become the enemies of the state.
