David Horowitz's new book really claimed that "An Inconvenient Truth" came out in 1996 [View all]

Via Media Matters, this is an actual passage from the latest waste of paper by David Horowitz (co authored with Jacob Laskin) The New Leviathan: How the Left-Wing Money-Machine Shapes American Politics and Threatens America's Future:

"By his second term in the White House, (Al) Gore had established himself as the Paul Revere of the cause. In 1996, he produced and starred in a documentary film called An Inconvenient Truth."

And MMFA pointed out other shoddily researched claims including that ACORN ran the Obama campaign and that SEIU president Andy Stern was the most frequent White House guest at one time.

But then again, Horowitz is an ex-leftist who has now found a new career telling lies for the right wing anti-college industry.
