3. They are re-enacting a specific battle in the war

They show a live demonstration of what happened on that particular day or days.

They try to be as realistic as possible.

They are not trying to cover the causes and origins of the war, nor are they trying to cover the moral background or the socialogical results of the war.

You could have an aerial dogfight re-enactment between a WWII Me-109 and a P-51 without having to go into detail about the Holocaust and the horrors of the Eastern Front.
