1835 Baltimore bank riot
1835 August Snow Riot Lynch mob and riots in Washington, D.C.
1836 Cincinnati riots of 1836
1837 New York Flour Riot
1841 Cincinnati riots of 1841
1844 Philadelphia Nativist Riots
1849 Astor Place Riot
1850 Squatters' Riot (California)
1851 Christiana Riot (Christiana, Pennsylvania)
1853 Cincinnati riot of 1853
1855 Bloody Monday (Louisville, Kentucky)
1855 Portland Rum Riot (Portland, Maine)

1856 Know-Nothing Riot of 1856 (Baltimore)
1857 Know-Nothing Riot (Washington, D.C.)
1857 New York City Police Riot
And the list goes on, and on, and on, without any let up. There's nothing new or unusual about what's happening today. It's already happened hundreds of times before. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_riots for some historical perspective on things.
Young folks who don't pay any attention to history think everything that's happening right now is something that's never happened before. They couldn't be more wrong.
