If only those police officers were armed, they could have defended themselves.

This event shows how that line of reasoning is just so much bullshit that should not be taken seriously.

Police did defend themselves. If no one had been shooting back, far more would have died. He was cornered by police returning fire. That's how the whole thing was brought to an end. Are you disputing that?
