2. Hard to believe all those assholes haven't died off yet

out of sheer meanness, but I suppose they've raised their kids to be assholes just like them.

I'm so sorry that poor kid had to run into one of them. It would be so good if we could protect kids until they developed the adult skills to look hate in the eye and say "I belong here just as much as you do. Your ancestors wanted me here so much they dragged my ancestors here in chains."

Of course, she and her family are likely a lot more polite than I am.
