(22,336 posts)He's limited by the information available to him. He has data from Houston and New York, but that data isn't likely to be representative of other areas in the US, particularly smaller cities and less diverse cities. Also, the study looks into whether killings are racially biased *after someone is pulled over* but doesn't look into whether there is bias in why people are pulled over in the first place. A lot of the issue people have is that black people get pulled over more often and for less serious reasons. If black people are pulled over more often, that makes a big difference in how often they'll get killed.
