Anyone claiming Obama divided the nation is an unredeemable racist right winger who will never see reason. The good thing is this demographic seems largely confined to people like me (older white people, and mainly male and often Southern) and that is a demographic that dies out a bit each day and is replaced by younger voters who simply don't understand the whole race/sex/gender controversies that fuel the right wing movement.
