8. I completely agree, with this caveat: TV rules the outcome of national elections

the vast majority of voters don't pay attention until after the conventions, and they get, what, 80 percent of their news from TV? that's a low estimate, I'll guess

lookit trump...he gets his military/diplomatic information from 'the shows'

let's face it, TV is the gatekeeper. if it doesn't show up there, it didn't happen

that's the reality, for now. perhaps it will change, with the advent of social media. but it might be too late for that to make a difference
