thinking along the same lines as Rachel, knowing what he did to her later with the whole affair thing.

IMO, that's what skeeved Rachel out

The whole time he was talking about how much he loved her, all I could think about was how he humiliated her so publically

She deserved so much better from him.

She is an amazing woman and so much less flawed a human being as he is
