(5,818 posts)I took the time to explain that the concern about being exposed to others' mindless banalities is unfounded.
"I have no intrinsic need or impulse to share what I happen to be doing at any given moment with friends, acquaintances and strangers, and I find most of what passes for communication on Facebook (or for that matter, on Twitter) to be shallow, banal, and mindless, and not worth my time.
