4. From what I understand, it is courtesy and tradition (from the Truman era), not the law....

...But Obama in his recent news conference said that both would be getting the info (and seemed to think it a legal matter—though, like I said, I've read it's not the law). He did emphasize that both parties must act presidential and not give out classified info. But I sure hope they're not really doing this. I'm worried sick about what Trump is being told and who he is telling. I wouldn't even trust him with the details of a surprise party, let alone info relations to national security.
