...for a very long time, as I have, it doesn't take long to know whether or not you have to worry about a patient. I have been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 40 years. I can often tell, within moments of walking in an exam room, if a child has a serious illness or not. I won't know what they have until I have completed my exam, but I will likely know if it is clinically worrisome.
