(1,313 posts)I can only shudder to imagine how badly the party would be at this point if he did not run!
Now it is up to Hillary to keep them interested. She has some great messages crafted in the Democratic Party Platform to run on, and even better ones espoused by Bernie. She has moved left on some things, for sure. She has to get it out there and I know it is hard. Trump sucks all the air out and she does have high negatives. Mostly, I feel, from being demonized for over 25 years by the RW. That's not her fault but there it is. The other things, her corporate and WS ties are not a great thing to have so she really has to craft a message that will show people she is serious, even if it pisses her big doners off. They are as afraid of Trump as anyone, frankly.
Bernie has given her and the Democrats a real gift. A chance to start renewing the party and bringing in more people with a real message and positions that have worked so well in our history, as shown by the greats like FDR. She is running against Trump, the worst presidential candidate I have ever seen or heard of in the history of this country, a disaster in the making in every way. This should be a cakewalk people!! If it isn't, then look to her messaging and actions on things like "free trade", TPP, minimum wage, calling out Corporate shenanigans and Wall Street con-men.
