In reply to the discussion: I would suggest laying off Bernie Sanders. [View all]Gaytheist212
(5 posts)I think DWS is a terrible Democrat and I would love to see her replaced by someone credible, not just someone who happens to be running against her. I do not believe for a moment that Sanders would be focusing on the 23rd district in Florida but for his personal beef with her. He's never had a problem with her all of these years and her positions, connections, and ties to lobbying industries didn't just happen. He never cared before, but he cares now? Come on.
I acknowledged his article in the LA Times and, frankly, anyone can bang out an article in an hour or two. Why do Hillary or Mook have to ask him to raise money or stump for downballot candidates other than the very important candidacy of Tim Canova? I know they'd love Sanders' fundraising list, but he won't turn it over. I think that Bernie is, as he said, dropping all pretensions of being part of the Democratic Party, retaining his Independent designation in the Senate, and is done with the party now that it is no longer a potential springboard for his ambitions. If that's what he wants to do, I wish he'd stop asserting that he and his followers are the future of the Democratic Party when he isn't doing anything to help.
