11. Indiana has a terrible history with this.

In my childhood in the mid-80s there were still signs up warning of what would happen to African American people who were out past sundown (and obviously with much worse language).

This was along the southern border of Indiana along the river. My mom grew up there in the 50s and 60s. The kkk held a lot of power.
