But King said he doesn’t know. He believes that both candidates have the ability to “soar or stumble.” But he doesn’t know which candidate will do which.

That inevitable soar or stumble, he believes, will ensure that the election will not be close. “It’s going to be a landslide,” King said.

Either way, King figures he can work with the winner. And, yes, that includes Clinton, who he has criticized for years. “She is somebody I can work with,” he said.

King said that he found when he dealt with Clinton while she was U.S. Secretary of State that it can be easier to work with someone when there isn’t staff and press around.

Higher praise there could scarcely be.
