He knows it doesn't matter how ridiculous his crap is, his audience will believe every word. His genius is that he's assembled an audience that consists of the most gullible people in the country, and he tells them exactly what they want to hear so they'll stay tuned at all times. That's exactly the type his advertisers want listening to their ads.
