How do Republicans see themselves?

1. They don't see themselves as hateful or bigoted or any such thing.

They see liberals as naive and foolish people who don't understand how dangerous those other people are. Liberals are endangering The American Way Of Life by allowing those other people to pillage and plunder and take resources away from those who truly deserve them. In their own minds GOPers aren't hateful at all; they are just realistic people who appreciate the dangers those naive liberals can't understand.
