Hospital bills [View all]

My hospital sent me a print out, at my request, showing how much BC/BS paid the hospital on several occasions. (Not how much BC/BS were billed, but how much they actually paid)

The cardio version treatment to electrically shock my heart cost $3,768.00

An emergency visit, where little was done other than the doc giving me a prescription of hydrocodone for abdominal pain cost $4,814.00

And a CT scan (cat scan) of my abdomen cost $7,840.00

That’s $16,422 in the past four months, and doesn’t include bills BC/BS paid for scheduled doctors visits, prescriptions, etc.

Thank God for insurance!
