6. I just today got the hospital bill for my masectomy that was done in July.

(have not yet gotten the surgeon bill).

The operation was done on an outpatient basis, even tho I was in the hospital over 24 hours.
The bill was 7.700.
My share is 771.00.

Medicare.

I know 2 things:

If I had had the same operation on the West Coast, where I used to live, it would be closer to 70,000

and I know that we all should be able to have Medicare type coverage.
