In her new book, In Trump We Trust, Ann Coulter does her best to convince America that they should throw their support behind “the great orange hope” and cast their votes for Donald Trump. In doing so, she also defends Trump’s past transgressions, including his mockery of New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski. She manages to give what can only be described as the worst defense in history.

Kovaleski suffers from a rare musculoskeletal disorder that makes the movement of his hands and arms difficult. When he failed to back up Trump’s claim that thousands of Muslims were cheering when the World Trade Center was attacked, the Republican nominee turned on him. In retaliation, Trump put on one of the most disgusting displays of his campaign and mocked Kovaleski’s disability.

In her book, the wicked witch of the right Coulter manages to give the worst excuse for the billionaire bully’s abhorrent actions ever. She claims that Trump wasn’t mocking Kovaleski’s disability at all. No, of course not. Instead, she insists, he was just imitating a “standard retard.”...

Yes, this vile woman actually said this sh*t. There simply are no words. She defended Trump’s mockery of a man with a disability by using one of the worst slurs imaginable and simultaneously insulted every person living with a developmental disability. You do kind of have to marvel at what kind of mental gymnastics it took to think that the phrase “standard retard” was an acceptable thing to say period, let alone a valid defense of Trump mocking disabilities. These people really can’t get much more loathsome.
