since despite it's heavy initial investment, the Caller has been an afterthought in the world of political media...

What was once supposed to be a conservative counterpart to HuffPo, saw its readership dwindle to nothing, so he went the sleazy, eye-grabbing sensationalist bullshit route -- Now it's more like NewsMax or Rense with some tits and asses, and celeb news thrown in...This makeover at least brought in some mouse clicks, but Carlson wants to cash in on the election year so he needed just one very public, outrageous publicity-whoring stunt just so the rest of Washington knew he was still alive...

And sadly, I think he will be rewarded for his cynical, self-serving pettiness...
