45. I had a first grade teacher confiscate a New Zealand coin from me.

She said it was a lesson for me "lying " to another kid at recess, pretending it wasn't "play money." I told the teacher that different countries have different money! I was a first-grader explaining that to an ADULT!

I was only showing it to the other kid, not trying to convince him to take it in some kind of trade. I wanted to keep it despite me knowing it wasn't worth much. I think it had a Kiwi bird on it, but that was over 40 years ago.

She said I could get it back at the end of the year, but I never bothered. She could shove that coin up her butt as far as I was concerned.

At least college professors usually have PhD's and they're indeed very bright most of the time. Several school teachers and other school employees aren't our best and brightest!
