15. Great idea, but...

What apparently happens is a suspect gets arrested for several offenses and the gun charge gets plea bargained away in exchange for a guilty plea on other charges. Gun charges are not as "sexy" as drug charges.

And once convicted felons are already prohibited from EVER owning a gun again or even residing in a residence where someone else does.

Plus, the Federal Government is also at fault because the do not arrest and prosecute those prohibited persons from attempting to buy another gun.

Some states have "gun courts" but it is not universal.

As a gun owner I fully support the harshest terms for illegal guns.
