I don't own a television, and my life is much saner as a result. I can watch a surprising amount of things over the internet. There are rarely commercials, which is quite nice, and I'm not bamboozled by thinking that whatever idiocy is being promoted actually matters.

I'd recommend to everyone to cut cable at a minimum.
